Jan Carter

Jan has lived in Camas for nearly eight years with her husband and two sons and has loved every minute of it. She has been involved in nonprofit work for 20+ years and currently serves as the DCA Marketing & Volunteer Coordinator. Jan and her family enjoy working, living and being a part of the amazing Camas community!

What do you love about Camas?

There are so many things I love about Camas! I love the natural beauty of our area and that Camas has a small-town charm that belies the growth our town is seeing.

What do you enjoy about being a part of the Camas community?

I love the community spirit, the people and everyone who makes Camas a welcoming, diverse community where you have a place of belonging.

What is your favorite memory in Camas?

My first Hometown Holiday Christmas Tree lighting is one of my favorite memories. I didn’t know what to expect, and after the countdown happened, it was pure magic! The tree, the lights, the families, the smiles on the kids faces, the reflection of the fireworks in their eyes and the overall community feel—magical!
